For my husbands birthday, we each picked a fancy cupcake at Hey Cupcake. We tried Plain Jane, Ghostbuster, Cookies n' Cream, and Red Velvet. One of cupcakes was iced just when I got there. The icing has the ability to 'dry', so it has a very delicate crust and the inside is super moist.
The cupcake itself has a freshly baked crust. You can tell they have not been sitting in a container all day. Once you bite into the cake it is also super moist. For freshness we all rated our cupcakes a '10'.
I do not understand the other review of this bakery. It was a truly fresh and memorable cupcake. I would encourage everyone to try it as they are much fancier and tastier than grocery store quality.

I find the cupcakes never taste fresh, they always seem like they are at least 3 days old...and the icing is hard on the outside. I think they are over priced as well. It looks great from the outside, with a great shop and the cupcakes look yummy but I have tried them three times now, and each time, I am unimpressed with the freshness...so I do not recommend it.
